With 8 members, the amount of experience and talent in the group is among the best you will find anywhere. 2 stunning lead vocalists, and incredible horn section plus a perfectly matched rhythm section make this band run like a well-oiled machine and it shows in every performance.
Funk Syndicate is frequently seen in some of the areas top casinos, clubs or even opening up for national artists. We also specialize is weddings, corporate events, charity events, festivals and just about everything else in between. We can provide a custom performance to fit any occasion.
Some of our career highlights include the honor of being an opening act for Stevie Wonder, Ringo Starr, Paul Simon, Chuck Negron (3 Dog Night), Keith Sweat, Blackstreet, Troop, SWV and The Little River Band. We have performed at Starlight Theatre, Union Station, The Kauffman Center, Bartle Hall, Kemper Arena, Kansas City Convention Center, Arrowhead Stadium, The Elms, among others.
Individually, members of the band have also have an amazing array of experience including performances opening for The Dave Matthews Band, Kansas, Loverboy, Poco, Head East, Survivor, Martina McBride, Bo Diddley, The Coasters, The Marvelletes, Buddy Guy, Tito Puente Jr., and The O’Jays. Two of our members have even performed and been recognized at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
